My kids are a little older and while we keep them still pretty close to home, we're looking at college applications in the fall for my eldest. I get a little teary at seeing our little girl grow up, then realize when little brother follows her in a couple of years DH and I are going to have the run of the house, and vacations....hmmm....it really is bittersweet.
