I am Canadian, and though this issue is in the US, it would for sure affect us neighbourgs. So many of our foods are from the US. (we cant grow almonds up here, lol) I'm not sure if this law went through or not, but next time I buy almonds at the health food store, I'll be sure to ask where they are from. I have a very short list of nuts that I like there is one item on it and it's almonds! I wasn't even aware of the difference between organic, pasteurized and raw almonds. Thank you for the education - I'm with you on letting us choose the type we want! As you say, look at all the poisonous substances they do ALLOW in our foods...perspective is definitely needed. Just to let you know, I attended the Bioneers Conference in Cleveland last week and it was phenomenal...so inspirational!
