Those are definitely some great suggestions thanks! Another good one that I've been using is DISH Remote Access from my provider/employer DISH Network. Basically what I did was purchase a Sling Adapter from DISH, hooked it up to my services at home, downloaded the DRA app to my iPad and now have the ability of watching anything live or recorded from home on my iPad anywhere I go. My kids love it during our long trips because they are occupied with their favorite cartoons. I love it because they are occupied and I get to do a little catching up too when they pass out! Lol.

I like the look of those peek~a~boo bags.
Must have a go at making one, since we have so much junk around that would be perfect to go in one!

Road trips, I took them when I was younger all the time. Many of the activities you give are so easy to use and can keep kids busy. I have few planned this summer so thanks for the tips.

Thanks for the ideas! We recently took a road trip with our 20 month old daughter and the DVD player was a life saver. I also placed a reusable grocery bag full of toys next to her so she could pick out which toys she wanted to play with. Have a great trip!

When we were kids my mom gave us journals to write in on vacation. But we never had time! We were too busy walking on nature trails, playing on the beach, visiting museums, our days were filled until we piled into a tent or hotel room and fell asleep. On the rides we discussed politics, read books and listened to oldies. We played
"slug bug" (although we included the hitting part) and called out the license plates of cars from foreign states.

Have a good trip.
