you did awesome with your garage sale buys!! it makes me want to get up early next weekend to see what I can find.

I love the walmart article. I am with Carrie though. I am not sure where I stand on whether to shop there or not. I would love to be able to shop at small local farms or stores, but the one income budget just sometimes does not allow that. In a way I am very thankful for walmart because there are times that we wouldn’t be able to eat if it weren’t for their cheap food, but on the other hand I would love to be able to support more local businesses. Any thoughts on get local stuff cheap?

Wal-Mart sells “everything”, so those ma and pa businesses go out of business because they cannot compete with their prices, thus Wal-Mart becomes one of the only close shopping options for many people. Buy from your local merchants and keep the money in your community.

Thanks for directing me towards Tot School. As a preschool teacher and these two expensive degrees and tubs and tubs of teaching supplies I need some motivation to start doing educational/play activities at home. My son, probably won’t want to participate or listen but I just have to get more creative, darn it. This mom is inspiring but so are you.

I am unsure where I stand on the WalMart issue. I know some of the things said about them, but I’m unsure how verifiable any of it is. And they seem to be one of the greenest big box stores out there right now… damned if you do, damned if you don’t?
