Too funny! I have been “unplugged” since Thursday while traveling and checking an item off my hubby’s “bucket list”. This was my book to take with me. I was driving my hubby nuts ’cause I kept discussing all the critical points (every page) with him. Up where we are in Canada it is a HUGE challenge to eat locally – and, yes, I have tried dandelions. But, I have committed to stick with seasonal items – most of the time.

I read this book last year and I loved it! My mother in law borrowed it and hasn’t given it back and I’m sad because it has great recipes in it.

I LOVE this book! I read it just a few weeks ago and am in the process of reading it again…such a wealth of information, and Kingsolver delivers such meaning both poetically and humorously. Definitely a must read!

This book has made it to my favourites list. It has really made me re-examine our food life and how we eat. I ‘try’ to eat much more local and seasonally as we don’t have much room for a garden. I recommend if Barbara comes to your area to go see her (I met her a few months ago and she signed my book). :) May I also suggest to you the 100 Mile Diet – a book a really appreciated because it is Canadian.

I read this book 2 months ago and have been “selling” this book to friends and family. This book has changed how I view food and what it takes to reach the table. I made the zucchini chocolate chip cookies a recipe from the book’s website and my kids loved them!

I think of Animal,Vegetable,Miracle as being an absolute Must Read for anyone who eats food,especially in the U.S. I know…I’m not very good at narrowing the target audience down but it really feels that important to me.

This book is on my “to read” list. Already I’m missing bananas and citrus fruit…..you just can’t grow that in the northeast.
