Children's plastic bath toys make use of non-toxic materials like natural colors and dyes. These toys are perfect for the teething babies who have a tendency of putting whatever they can in their mouths. Another benefit of plastic bath toys is that they are not dependant on batteries. Furthermore, plastic toys are more durable.

Finally, bath toys! I have been on the lookout for a while as you always see "better" toys for ever occasion but the bath tub! Apparently, I was looking in all the wrong places. I am going to replace my daughter's toys with these and I hope they continue their good work--thanks for the information!

Ah Boon! Sigh, the most expensive bath toys we ever bought...We just endured a major vet bill because my cat tore up and ingested the "bath goods." bath toys
They are wonderful products but a "heads up" for animal owners: store them away when traveling or when not in use!

We make our own bread, bring our own cloth bags to buy cereal in bulk and use recycled plastic toothbrushes. ;) I'm far from perfect and still learn every day how to eliminate plastic as much as possible. Fake Plastic Fish's blog is a great resource! =D

I you can do it, then you should write a book about how to eliminate new plastic from your life. My husband and I have been trying for years but every time we buy a loaf of bread or box of cereal or a toothbrush, there's another bit of plastic packaging going into the landfill.

I definitely donate unused stuff or hand them down but my goal this year is not to buy new plastic. If I buy new plastic, I prefer that it be recycled plastic, not new because it adds more waste to our landfills.

Hey! I just bought that Boon potty bench! I didn't even know what I was doing... just saw that it was 50% off at Target!

And Keri, you can "recycle" any used toys or plastic ware by donating them, selling them, handing them down, etc. It's actually less impact than what melting them down to create new toys would be.

I tried to buy the scrubbles, but they weren't out yet. The Splat is awesome though. I had to pry my son from the tub... two hours later!

Keri,

I don't know the answer to that. I would rather have verified safe plastic toys than recycled ones that could contain a mish mash of plastics that could be potentially toxic. Using recycled plastics is often best but when there aren't many options...like with bath toys, then safer plastics are important.

are these made with recycled plastic or are they making new plastic to create these toys? are they recyclable after you are done using their products? these are important for any "green" person to ask... their website didn't answer any of my question.
