LOVE IT!!! Its easy to put together, very sturdy and so useful. Its worth the $. I agree, its worth losing the space. They are going to be there on something with you, they might as well be safe. I have no doubt the workmanship that goes into them is worth the $200, I'd just rather that investment be spent in time, and it's something he enjoys doing anyhow... but I agree they are a great idea - my little perches on a stool right now which adds a level of stress to the mix that I would like to be rid of... My 2 older kids are always arguing when sharing the stepstool we pull out. But our kitchen is seriously tiny, I have to move around the stepstool even to reach anything.
