Attn: Giveaway at the bottom of this post!
Okay I admit I don’t have a baby anymore but when an awesome gourmet, organic baby food store offered to give away some of their awesome baby food to one of my readers I had to see just how awesome it really was first. The store, the pictures, the descriptions… it all made me feel like I was about to order from a posh New York City baby eatery where Carrie Bradshaw might go if she had a baby.
And boy oh boy, did Yummy In My Tummy deliver! We got a large selection of baby food cups shipped overnight and they were not quite frozen, but certainly frosty when they reached us. Myself, my three year old, and my five year old got to be the taste testers from Stage 1 selections to stage 3. If it was good enough for me to eat and say “YUM!” than I know any baby would be delighted to eat it.
Have you ever tasted the baby food that you get at grocery stores? Yum is often the LAST word that comes to mind. This is why I made my own baby food because the alternative tasted disgusting, it had preservatives in it, and it wasn’t fresh and organic. Yummy In My Tummy baby food though tasted VERY fresh…like it was just made at home. And it is…kinda. ;)
Yummy In My Tummy was founded by two parents who wanted better organic baby food for their new baby. The father, Michael Stanley, has fifteen years of restaurant experience and a degree in Culinary Art from the Culinary Institute of America. He began researching and testing recipes that his daughter would love. Soon Chef James Casterlin joined him and his wife and Yummy In My Tummy was born.
They have 3 menus… Simple and Smooth Stage 1 Menu, Textured and Tasty Stage 2 Menu, and Savory and Scrumptious Stage 3 Mini Meals. They were ALL divine! We tried many, many flavors but some that I was most impressed with were sweet potatoes, butternut squash, baked apples, apples & cranberries, apples, pears, & Raisins, beets & carrots, broccoli & pears, and candied yams. They are gourmet in taste and texture.
Yummy In My Tummy Baby Food is:
The food is then packaged in BPA-free, phthalate-free, BHT-free, and BHA-free barrier containers. If this place had been around when my babies were little I would have ordered for sure!
Giveaway closed!
I sure wish this was available near me. Nonetheless, I would love to win some of these products~yum! My son would love these, and the mini-meals look delicious, even for me. :)
Isn’t it still the best to prepare your own organic baby food made from fresh vegetables and fruits?
I just stumbled upon your blog. I have been starting to look at organic baby foods for my baby since she will be starting them soon. These look really cool! The choices for organic are few and far between where we live.
I would LOVE to win this baby food my little sweetie! I am making my own baby food for him, but it can get so busy with three boys! Thanks for the giveaway! Love your blog…
YAY for such a wonderful giveaway!! I have heard many great things about this brand before and would love to try it out. I am currently pregnant with out first baby and definitely plan to make my own baby food when that time comes. Thanks for this opportunity!! And Happy Earth Day!!
I like to have organic food on hand for little visitors so these frozen babies would be perfect. I also cook and bake for big people (and pets) using baby food as a easy puree.
I would love to gift this to my friend with a little 4 month old at home – Im sure she could use these :)
I am very pround to say that my sister already orders from this company!!! However, I’m she would be delighted if I sent her some more ;) Her twin boys love these little snacks to go!
I make my own food, too, but is nice to have something pre-made once in awhile, so we’d love to give it a try! Thanks for the giveaway.
I woud LOVE LOVE LOVE to win this! I make my own and would love a little break. ;-)
This looks awesome! My baby is almost two and of course eating fresh what we eat though I did make my own baby food with all my littles. I do have a friend who has twin boys and this would be a blessing for her! If I win I will give them to her for a nice organic treat! :) Thank you.
Wow! This is so exciting!!! Thank you :)
I have a 10 mo old so this would be sooo great! I make almost all of his food but this would be fun to try!
These sound good. I am making my own baby food right now, but would love to try these.
sounds like yummy in everyone’s tummy!!
Awesome product..I would love to give it a try, I also twittered your post, I’m 1phenomenal1
My babe is almost out of the baby food stage, but I bet he’d still go for some of those stage 3 ones if they’re as good as you say!
I’m also linking to your blog via designmom.com where I’m guestblogging next week. The post won’t show up until Tuesday though; it’s about green smoothies:)
This sounds interesting! I just started making baby food for my son and would love to test this food too. Also, I have been reading your blog for about a week now and think it’s great! So informative!
Even though I make all our baby food from organic fruits and veggies at home, I wouldn’t mind trying this.
My 17 mo DD has decided that she only likes the texture of pureed veggies! While I love the Earth’s Best Organic that we are using, this would be a serious treat…and we could even freeze some of the ‘extra’ (if such a thing exists!) for our new little one later this summer.
I am always looking for better baby foods. I make most of the food for my 11month old daughter, but i love to have something on hand for days when we are in a rush! She is a great eater, but she refuses to eat “grocery store” baby food– she wants the real stuff! Thanks for all of your great posts, I really enjoy reading them!
Thank you for the blog and for the cool giveaways. Little Robin looks interested in the food!
I would love to try these for my baby that is on the way. I made most of my own food for my first baby. It would be nice to have a fresh backup!
I just started making homemade baby food for my 6 month old. I’m interested in this line though. Very cool.
Wish I knew about this earlier!
This sounds awesome!! I am very interested in doing this for my baby. They sound delicious!!
Thanks for sharing such a great product! I will for sure have to check it out!
This looks really tasty. It seems similar to the TastyBaby company’s product. I know my baby would love it!
What a cool giveaway! I wish these had been around with my older 2 kids. But with my third about to start solids in a few months, these would be great! Please enter me – Thanks!
Yum, those meals sound fabulous!! Thanks
YUM! With a 1,2 & 3 yr old, its nice to have quality food on hand for my 1 yr old when things get busy. Especially with summer coming its would nice to have something quick and easy to pack for outings. Thanks for opportunity!
SOunds great I hope I win
Sounds like a yummy treat for my soon to be born baby!
I would LOVE to win this! I think my 1 year old would really like it!
I’d love to have my son try these!
Haven’t heard of this brand before but it sounds good! Added on to my facebook.
I loved making my first daughter’s food, but now with my second it’s hard to find the time to make her food. I’m trying my best, but like the extra help sometimes and this looks great!
I have been reading for a little while now, and what better time to comment? I’ve been making my son’s food for a few months, but with the fruit and vegetable pickings in Alaska, it would be nice to have some of these on hand!
well… doesnt this look good. my partner and i have been talking a lot about babies and being green ourselves, we want our lil mouths to enjoy what they eat. we’ve talked about making our own and such… but this doesnt look bad. thanks for your insight with milk, diapers, and food. i’ve learned a lot.
We have been making our own baby food, but that looks much better than what I make. Thanks,
Tricia
OMG I totally hope I win!!! My 8 month old will be in heaven. Thanks Tiffany!
This sounds awesome! Last week I deboned an organic chicken, boiled carrots in the broth and pureed it for my 9 month old. Healthy, but time consuming! With four kiddos ages 5 and under, it’s a challenge. Yummy in My Tummy sounds like a perfect solution!
My friend forwarded your posting to me. We are first time parents and make our own baby food for our 7 month old. I always love trying other homemade baby food and would love to win this. Thanks!!!
I made some organic baby food for my daughter, and she literally threw up when she tasted it— Help! I obviously don’t know what I’m doing!
I fed my two oldest the gross baby food and now with this one I have been making my own but would love to try this brand!
Oh how wonderful! A company (parents) that thinks like so many of us–and is DOING something about it. I have an 8 month old boy and we are just now looking into solids…a friend told me about your blog…and wha-lah—i found this entry on “Yummy in my tummy…”. THANK YOU for this heads-up and although winning would be awesome, i am just thankful to have heard about this ‘mindful’ company. Little digestive systems are soooooooo very delicate, and i want to treat ours RIGHT from the get go…. Yum nums in the tum tums!
This actually looks “good”. Love the packaging too!
Wow- the baby food sounded so good that my stomach started growling! My little one will be starting to eat “real” food soon, and this give-away would be great for her! I am wanting to make my own baby food for her, so it would be great to try out some amazing baby food before I get started. :) Thanks for letting us know about this product.
This would be great to try out. We are getting ready for a cross country move and making the baby food while packing up the house is getting a little tough.
Love the blog btw!
I would love to try this out. i have been making my sons baby food and he loves the homemade stuff. But, when we’ve had to go out of town it’s hard to transport and we had to buy the store stuff which he absolutely hated. So, I’d love to try some of this out.
I have actually not tasted the store bought baby food. Perhaps I should have. Now that I have another child after 7 years, if there is something I want to do differently, is to try different types of baby food. This look so yummy!
Would love to win some yummy!!! Thanks for the chance!
Looks Yummy in My TUMMY! My 8 month old will love this!
Yummy in my Tummy looks great! I make my son homemade organic purees but it would be awesome to have some frozen stuff that I could leave at the sitter’s house!
I just took a look at their menu/food items and they look yummy. I like that their is a toddler offering as well.
My 9 month old would just LOVE this, their menu’s look amazing, how great are they?!
I have always made my kid’s baby food from scratch, but I admit that there were times I would have loved to have some healthy pre-made options that I felt safe about. Thanks for the post about the great company. Even if I don’t win the contest, I now know of a new alternative for my next little one due this summer. Thanks!
I can’t believe how wonderful that looks! Thank you!
I hope I’m doing this right by commenting again to tell you that I posted this on Facebook.
Here I go again, I also Twittered it. Thank you!
This looks great – my 10 month old would love it. Thanks!
This brand looks and sounds awesome. In LA I had access at Whole Foods to a similar brand called Homemade Baby – fresh, organic and yummy. Now we’re in No. Cal. and I couldn’t find them anywhere. If we have baby #2 I will try this company and forward their info to my friend in TX!
I just found this company’s site this weekend and thought their blends looked delicious. I was disappointed that I hadn’t found it before a recent trip to visit family that was close to their store. Hope to check it out next visit. I know my son would love it!
I would love to offer my little guy these foods:) i’ve been making some of my own and also giving him the earths best organic jarred foods. both options he likes alright but this stuff looks and sounds WAY better than what he’s been getting!! would love to win! thanks for the chance…
mmm! and healthy! i’d love to have something so tasty (and safe!) for my daughter. :)
thanks for sharing, tiffany!
i wouldn’t buy it because it looks like it comes in plastic containers. i do not buy baby food or anything else in plastic if it is available in glass. sorry.i see many brands of organic babyfood in plastic and i will only buy in glass.
great find!
Thanks for this info! I make my baby’s food now and its definitely worth it for the good stuff thats in it. But I’d love to expand the horizons with some foods beyond pears and sweet potatoes!
My son has serious neurlogicial disorders and I’m just that much more determined to make sure he doesn’t get pestisides or chemicals that are bad for him. He’s already had a rough start to life and I want to help make his future more bright!
Thank you for this blog! Because of you I have found new natural pacifiers and toys as well!
Oh Yummy! Something good for my baby. I like some of the more unusual flavors. Bookmarked their site. Thanks :)
hi,
we’d love to try y.i.y.t.
mary and rishi and kyra
have been checking out the baby food that is available. this sounds great. would love to get to try the stage 1.
Oh wow… this looks delicious!! I wonder if I could get away with bringing it to work as a snack instead? I can’t wait to try this with my baby… just awesome!
Thanks for this review I am always looking for something to have on hand in case my supply gets low or I run into a time crunch to make more baby food. my son wasn’t much on the jarred stuff when I did this with him so I am looking for better alternatives with my baby girl.
I love the idea of Seasonal Specials! Thanks for the review!
Thanks for reviewing, I will look into this brand! I’m currently trying to make my own baby food but this looks MUCH better!
this is great!! I plan to make baby food for my son, but i have to bring packaged, unopened baby food to school, so this looks perfect! I am about to post a link on my blog and will tweet too.
The winner is #27… amom! Congrats!!!
Thanks so much to Tiffany and Yummy In My Tummy!! I can’t tell you how excited I am. And my little boy will be as well. He’s 5 mo and already grabbing for our food with a vengence! I can already tell after looking at their website and reading your review that I will be addicted to this stuff.
Thanks again!
Great to find another organic option. I have been using Yummy Spoonfuls with my little one and it is also very delish! Their choices are tasty and very different. I love the Adzuki Bean porridge, and the mango is silky and good. Check them out at http://www.yummyspoonfuls.com, I think they are on facebook and twitter too!
Just had my tonsils removed and am limited to what I can eat. I think this could work!
It is one of the most popular food for the baby. And it is too delicious and beautiful in taste. You need to make sure that you secure the best possible deal. If you want you can take some suggestions of your friends and family members.
