Great post. Family dinner time is so important. With our busy lives it is easy to forget. Great list of reasons.

Dinner time is very important here in our home. I cook pretty much every single night, and if it's an "easy night" as I call them, it's still here and not takeout. It just may be sandwiches instead of spaghetti. I am bummed, my husband will be going to swing shift, so he'll be missing out on dinner except for 2 nights a week. But, we all eat pretty much all our meals together when we are all together, so I'll just have to get some creative breakfast recipes so we can turn that into our new "dinner time" since he'll be at work. I plan to also still cook large meals so my husband can have the leftovers from the night before to take to work. That way he'll still be eating healthy instead of the cafe food at work. :) I do also believe that mealtimes should be sacred in families, especially very busy ones.
