I often hear that raising kids is sooooo expensive. I honestly don't think that has to be true. Yes you will spend more than you would if you were childless but it doesn't have to break the bank. It is all in how you choose to live. Frankly if you do not raise kids in a consumerist driven home environment and you do not fall into the trappings up keeping up with the Joneses and the Joneses children, you can manage quite well financially. Why I Shop at Aldi To Save Money
Only two to three years ago I was mainly shopping at Giant Eagle and Trader Joe's for our food and household needs. I still love Trader Joe's and will stop in whenever I am in the area but my heart has changed. I am an Aldi convert. Driving the Mitsubishi Mirage
Recently I got to roll around town for a week with the 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage. I am already a Mitsubishi fan. Remember how I loved the i-MeEV? Yeah, loved that car. Anyway chia pudding sounded good but how exactly do you make it? The video below shows you how step by step. I love how simple it is! You only need a handful of common ingredients and some time in the fridge to let it soak. Plus you make it in my fave...mason jars! This recipe will be perfect for taking to work for … [Read more...]
Fiberlicious Muffins With Apple and Flax
Here is a recipe that I made this morning. Not only are these muffins perfect for breakfast but they are sooo yummy and good for you too. They are a great source of whole grains and high fiber, and the flaxseed provides Omega-3 oils. They were a big hit with my whole family. Even when the kids were little they scarfed these down. Fiberlicious Flax Apple Muffins 1 cup Multigrain cereal with Flaxseed and Quinoa ( I use Hodgson Mills brand) 1 cup organic, unbleached flour 1 Tbsp. baking … [Read more...]
