Eco Heroine Film for Tweens and Teens

By Tiffany Leave a Comment

I have shared before that I am a big time movie lover. I worked at a movie theater for years just to get all the free movies I could handle and I REALLY used that perk. I like action and adventure personally. I grew up with The Dukes of Hazard and Wonder Woman re-runs as well as shows like The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. My mom instilled in me a love of movies with strong female characters too. As a tween/teen I was a HUGE fan of Ellen Ripley of the Aliens franchise. To this day I still love … [Read more...]

Green Your School Year with Recyclebank

By Tiffany 1 Comment

It is that time of year so I  have been posting regularly about greening the upcoming school year. I have been doing this for a couple years so it is habit now but yet even I need reminders and motivation sometimes. Going to Walmart and tossing the cheapest stuff in the cart as fast as you possibly can is certainly tempting when your to-do and  your to-buy list is super long. If it were easy all the time then it wouldn't be called "making an impact" would it? Even green parents can start to run … [Read more...]

Raise Baby Green and Save Money Too

By Tiffany 21 Comments

With a pregnancy often times comes the realization that babies are expensive. But is that really true? Does having a baby automatically mean you have to kiss your money goodbye? In my opinion the answer is NO. Green moms are way ahead of the curve when it comes to raising baby on the cheap. The old saying applies equally to "stuff" we accumulate when raising children... "Use it Up, Wear It Out, Make It Do, or Do Without". There is no reason we need to fall victim to the marketing hype that … [Read more...]

Green Smoothies Recipes!

By Tiffany 9 Comments

About a year ago (maybe less) my family fell in love with green smoothies. No it has nothing to do with green in the eco sense of the word but rather what is in the smoothie...lots of fresh, leafy greens. A universal issue it seems is the concern over getting our kids to eat their veggies, particularly the dark green variety. Green smoothies are the perfect solution for the whole family. We drink at least one but usually 2-3 green smoothies a day. This means we are eating lots of Kale, … [Read more...]

Organic Baby Food Giveaway

By Tiffany 294 Comments

The wonderful company Earth's Best has been gracious enough to offer one of my readers a great giveaway gift pack. I remember when my two youngest were babies and I made their own baby food pretty much but I always had some of those little jars on hand just in case and they were always Earth's Best. They were great for a trip to grandma's house. Organic food at this stage is hugely important for those vulnerable little bodies so I love what Earth's Best stands for. They also have a special … [Read more...]
