This morning I made some raw almond milk. It is still a living food, it's vegan, and is very good for you. My two boys love to drink it straight up...my daughter would rather have raw cows milk I think. But none of them mind when I use it in cereals or in homemade raw ice cream. Cool off with delicious Popsicles this summer made with BPA free Popsicle molds! AND if you live in my house you get good old fashioned veggies or greens in your Popsicles too. Yum! Healthy Carrot Cake
Ingredients 2 c. spelt flour or whole wheat flour 2 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. baking powder 2 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. salt 2 c. grated carrots 1 c. milk, coconut milk, almond milk, or rice milk 1 1/2 c. applesauce 1 c. pure maple syrup, 1/2 c. crushed walnuts Preheat the oven to 350F. Berry Smooth Summer Smoothie
No doubt I have mentioned before that I am a smoothie freak. I am "trying" to cut down to just one a day because I can really go overboard, especially in the summer.
