The Many Ways You Can Use Castile Liquid Soap

By Tiffany 15 Comments

I have been using castile soap around my home for about 10 years now. I loved it then and I love it now. I use it straight up for all kinds of cleaning and I also use it as a base for several of my favorite green cleaner recipes. I like that the same product I use to scrub my toilet and wipe down my walls is the same product I use to clean my carpets and wash the dishes. I also use it in the bath, on my hair, in the garden, and on my food even. How is that for simple and easy?!  The best part … [Read more...]

Healthy Pets, Green Pets

Planet Friendly Ways to Keep Pups and People Healthy and Happy One of the things I have been researching lately is green puppy care. I grew up with dogs but I never much considered green issues and I pretty much let them play with or eat what you could buy at big box stores. Now of course I know from having children that much of what mainstream America is peddling is unsafe and it is also true of products for pets. When you … [Read more...]

Green Nesting Routines for Winter

By Tiffany 5 Comments

I am not one who feels inspired to clean in the springtime. I grew up in Arizona where winter was a whole different ball of wax than what you find here in Ohio so when Spring rolls around... you won't find me inside the house cleaning! I am going to be outside enjoying the sunshine and early spring flowers. While I am not a fan of the cold I do not get depressed in winter as so many do... due to lack of outdoor time and sunshine. I do find myself drawn indoors most of the time but I find it … [Read more...]

Eco Tip – Green Cleaning

By Tiffany 20 Comments

When I announced a giveaway for BabyGanics I had many commenters ask that I share some of my own personal cleaning recipes and methods. Well, I would be happy to do so. I actually LOVE cleaning. That sounds kind of strange but I really do enjoy it and I can't use harsh cleaners and chemicals because I will break out in hives. Give me a bottle of Windex and I will be puffy, itchy, and gasping for air in a few minutes. It is NOT pretty. So here is a run down of what I generally use to … [Read more...]
