Tips To Eating Clean Without Cleaning Out Your Bank Account

By Guest 7 Comments

First, I want to thank Tiffany for giving me the awesome opportunity to come and spread the word on shopping. We all love to shop, but we donʼt always love the part when we have to take our debit card out at the end! So Thanks Tiffany for letting me chat today! I used to think that the crazy couponing was a just that, a craze. But since itʼs been a few years now and I still see women chugging through the aisles with their 3 ring binders and their calculators, I think couponing is here to … [Read more...]

BabbaBox Fun for Kids

By Tiffany Leave a Comment

For adults you have the monthly Conscious Box (of which I am a huge fan) but I also recently came across a similar concept for kids, the BabbaBox. If you subscribe then you get a new box every month especially for kids with crafts and activities to keep them entertained and engaged for a few afternoons, and not glued to a TV screen. I like the concept for the obvious reasons... it encourages play, crafting, creativity, TV free play, ect. But I also like it because it gives busy moms, and moms … [Read more...]

Kids’ Charity Design Contest

By Tiffany 2 Comments

If you have artistic kids and you want to add another element of social awareness to your lives (and who doesn't) you may be interested in a kids design contest being run by The Company Store in honor of their 100th anniversary. I rarely post about things like this but their concept just rubbed me the "right way". Giving cool comforters to kids who are homeless or going through home transitions just seems like a great way to give needy children a sense of home no matter where they are. Their … [Read more...]

Natural Toys and Creative Play

By Tiffany 8 Comments

Children today are used to the more technical toys that are designed to “do” something. Many of these toys simply entertain them and have little to no practical or educational value. With these toys, you can push a button to make them walk, talk, or light up. The flashy lights and noises mesmerize but are these good toys for them to have? Children have a natural desire to explore, discover, and experience things for themselves. Your child should have the ability to create their own play … [Read more...]

Young At Art

By Tiffany 9 Comments

My weekend read was very inspiring, Young at Art by Susan Striker. Susan is the creator of the widely popular anticoloring books for kids I like so much. As an art teacher of many years and a mom herself she has some great ideas about how art should evolve in a child's life and how much of what we might be doing may actually stifle their creativity and love of art. With the exception of baby's first steps, there is no more significant milestone in your child's development than the first mark he … [Read more...]
