Christmas Ornaments for Crossfitters

By Tiffany Leave a Comment

It’s getting to be that time of year… the holidays are around the corner and it is time to decorate our Christmas trees or at least think about decorating them. Many people choose a theme or color scheme and others just like to use a variety of ornaments that have personal significance to them. Either way CrossFitters and athletes in general (runners, yoginis) would probably get a kick out of Christmas ornaments that highlight their passion for their sport. I know I LOVE the idea of CrossFit … [Read more...]

Sleep Number m7 Bed Review

By Tiffany 7 Comments

If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook then you probably saw my updates about hanging out at a Sleep Number® store in mid June. I guess it doesn't take much to draw some conclusions and guess that we were getting a new bed and you would be right. Up until a few weeks ago the husband and I (and most nights our 6 year old as well) were sleeping on an old pillowtop mattress and boxspring. We got that bed just as I found out I was pregnant with my second child. She is 8 now so that makes our bed … [Read more...]

Go Green Get Fit – Week Four

By Tiffany 3 Comments

I’m one of 30 bloggers participating in the 12-week Go Green, Get Fit Challenge as part of the EcoMom Alliance Sustain YourSelf™ Program presented by PlanetShoes.com. This is my week four update, you can read about week three here. The temperature outside reached scorching last week and that impacted my workouts. I also took time off for the 4th and don't regret a minute of it. In fact, I had so much fun I am repeating it this week. Also a factor is the fact that my local CrossFit box has fewer … [Read more...]

Go Green Get Fit – Week One

By Tiffany 11 Comments

Week one of the Go Green Get Fit Challenge presented by Planet Shoes and the EcoMom Alliance officially starts today. It is hot on the tail of one of my first timed and judged workouts (this past Thursday). It was a killer, especially since I am still not 100% after my recent cold (still congested and coughing) but it has really made me want to up my game. The workout rotated through 5 different exercises: wallball -12 pound ball push press - 45 pounds (for women) box step up - 24 inch … [Read more...]

10 Things You Can Do Every Day to Get Happy and Stay Healthy

By Tiffany 10 Comments

I just got home from a vigorous CrossFit workout. When I walked in the door my hubby was just about to take off for the golf course but he always asks how my workout was. Today I think he was a little taken aback by my enthusiastic "Awesome!" It was a really tough workout and we had four mini WODs today (WOD=workout of the day). I did squats, pushups, mountain climbers, rope climbing, medball presses, medball wall touches, 100 meter sprints, calf jumps, supermen, bicycles, rowing, sprinters, hip … [Read more...]
