I am off to the Big Apple tomorrow for the BlogHer 12 conference. I have been blogging for eight years and this is my very first time attending this amazing event. My oldest is now six and about to start real school this fall. I think it is time for mom to get out more, don't ya think? Well, I do and I am over the moon excited. If you are going then I cannot wait to meet you. If not then you can follow my adventures on Facebook or read about it here later. In June I blogged about the … [Read more...]
All Natural Head Lice Remedies
A few months back now my family had its first ever bout with the big bad...head lice. I managed to go through my entire life without ever having had lice or even having it in my house. But this week one caught and held my attention. It wasn't about clean water for third world children or feeding the homeless but it is still something that pulled on my heartstrings and made me open my … [Read more...]
In the Know With Abe’s Market
I discovered Abe's Market sometime last year when I came across a cardboard dollhouse with furniture that I knew my 7 year old daughter would just love. It ended up being a birthday present and my daughter still plays with it quite often. Even though it is made of cardboard it is still going strong. This store is part Etsy and part Whole Foods with a mix of posh and sustainable toys as well as some handcrafted stuff. But they also have a little Amazon, Groupon and Home Shopping Network thrown … [Read more...]
