By Guest 3 Comments

It’s an overwhelming problem that lots of people would love to fix, but since most of us don’t know anything we can do it seems incurable. While no one individually feels like they can make a difference, all of us will start experiencing the negative difference it increasingly has on our lives. Carbon pollution won’t stop, or even decrease, unless each of us individually learns how to reduce our carbon … [Read more...]

Eco Wrap – My Family, Gardening, and Earthopoly

By Tiffany 7 Comments

TGIF! Have an awesome weekend everyone! I had a wonderful vacation in Florida recently. My family stayed at a resort right next to The Magic Kingdom. Of course we had fun at the Disney parks but I think the kids enjoyed Sea World and the just hanging out at the pool the most. I was really excited to get home though...Florida was HOT and dry. It really made me appreciate Ohio more. I was downright giddy when we pulled up to our house and it was cool and rainy. I have been slow to blog … [Read more...]

You’ve Gone Too Far Treehugger!

Was this a headline on a blog or news site? Was it a nasty remark thrown at me from by a cashier in reference to my "Plastic Bags Blow" t-shirt? None of the above...it was a playful thing my husband said to me this past weekend. Admittedly my husband is not the greenest man on the planet but he is making great strides in that direction and mostly because he loves me like crazy and he sees that it is important to me. So now he is quick to send me links about sustainable news and events and tell … [Read more...]

Eco Anxiety

By Tiffany 2 Comments

When it comes to talking about environmental concerns and threats to our planet I do my fair share here on this blog and in my personal life. But how does that make you feel? Does it make you anxious? Are you losing sleep? Well, I guess it was only a matter of time before a "new" eco-service would hit the market to address this...enter eco-therapy. If all this talk about global warming, deforestation, chemicals in your food, etc. are making you anxious you can get help. Melissa Pickett, an … [Read more...]

Gore Gets an Oscar Nod

By Tiffany Leave a Comment

No one knows if former U.S. Vice President Al Gore will return to politics, but he's definitely headed for Hollywood's red carpet, thanks to his climate change documentary "An Inconvenient Truth." "Truth," a big-screen adaptation of Gore's slide-show lecture calling for urgent action to curb man-made greenhouse gas emissions linked to global warming, was nominated for an Oscar on Tuesday as a best documentary feature. I am thrilled! I hope he wins. :) Read more … [Read more...]
