We aren't all that big on desserts around here. I think that may be because we live within 15 minutes of what has been called America's best ice cream... the local artisan creations from Jeni's. I have no problem loading the family into the car and making a trip there once or twice a week but recently we decided that needed to change some. Making Yogurt at Home
There are so many reasons to try making your own yogurt at home. For one we get to eliminate yet another source of plastic in our lives because very few yogurt companies offer their product in glass containers. Yogurt cups are notoriously hard to recycle and are not accepted by many recycling plants. Another reason to make homemade is too have more control over what we are eating. Farm to Table or Why I LOVE Summer
Farmer's market produce, herbs and veggies from our own garden, grass fed butter, apple pie, Amish egg noodles, and homemade blueberry or peach frozen yogurt. Can summer be any more delicious??? Ask me again in Fall when I may just be singing the praises of apple butter, cider, and pumpkin pie... but for now summer is the yummiest season ever.
