Summer is here and kids are out of school. There is no time like the present to get the whole family focused on conserving power and reducing energy costs. Since it is summer you might even make a game of it. Why not? This is when costs for the household can skyrocket, at least in our household. Weekending
Not much going on... just trying to stay cool during this heat wave. We have a nifty indoor/outdoor temp display so as soon as the outdoor temperature gets cooler than the indoor temp (around 10:00 PM) we throw open the windows and put fans in them. Those stay until about 9:00 AM. I actually get pretty cold in my room at night and LOVE it! A Product That Could Save Children
When I lived in Arizona I would hear many stories during the hot summer months of kids being injured or killed when left alone in vehicles. I feel ill just thinking about the stories I would hear on the news of a parent who left a sleeping child in the car so they could do their grocery shopping. In most cases this type of thing was done deliberately by a negligent parent who was foolishly unaware of how dangerous it is to leave a child in the car like that.
