Recycling Bins You Won’t Want to Hide in the Garage

By Tiffany 9 Comments

Have you noticed how completely ugly most recycling bins are? I am sure you have. If you use the bins provided by your city or local waste collection service then you probably have the standard plastic tubs in red, green, or blue. They are fine for putting out at the curb once a week but it gets annoying to have to look at them in your kitchen every day. Not only do they waste a lot of space, they look unsightly. So what to do? I know! Hide those dastardly bins in the garage or set them out … [Read more...]

Getting Organized with Me in a Tree

By Tiffany 2 Comments

I was so encouraged by my progress on my New Year's goals for the month of January. It was an awesome start to the year. Then along came February and I was bombarded by one stressful situation after another. Much of it was stuff I could not control and feeling helpless is no fun at all. Some of it though was just reaping the consequences of being so disorganized. They say that once it rains, it pours and that is the way February went. It's all about the Law of Attraction. Once the bad stuff … [Read more...]

Breastmilk is Superfood for Babies

By Tiffany 18 Comments

It has been quite awhile since I breastfed my little ones but even so it is one of those subjects that I am still deeply passionate and opinionated about. From the time my youngest was born I knew I would breastfeed and mostly that was because my own mother had. I recall her breastfeeding my younger brother well into his toddler years and she talked about the joy of breastfeeding so enthusiastically that I knew I had do the same when I became a mother. This made me the odd one out among my … [Read more...]

Green Your After School Routine

By Tiffany Leave a Comment

Part three of Recyclebank's Green Your Back to School Challenge is all about keeping it green even after school is over for the day. It has lots of great info and more chances to earn points. The first activity involves making a pledge to keep after school activities at school or nearby and to carpool with other parents. This isn't much of an issue for me as I am not big on after school activities beyond playing. After school snacks are discussed and they are just as important as what your … [Read more...]

SHOPPING CART BASKETS

By Tiffany 18 Comments

Cool product alert!!  I am super excited to have found these in my Internet browsing this morning. While I do have more than enough reusable bags there are just times when I forget them. Yes, I put them in the car, I often carry a pocket size bag in my purse even but once I use that and carry it in the house, I am so bad about remembering to put them back. I have ended up getting paper bags more often than I would like to admit. These shopping cart baskets may be just what I need. They are … [Read more...]
