A couple years ago or so ago I met a great gal named Amber online. At the time I still owned a cloth diaper company and I was blown away by her store Diaper Kits. I loved how easy she made it for other moms to learn to sew their own diapers or sew just a few without having to invest in tons of specialty fabric... the materials most modern diapers are made with, you won't find in stores. Amber has recently gone on to open another similar business...Butt Knits. There she offers patterns for … [Read more...]
Go Green & Put Some Green Back In Your Pocket

One of the comments on that post about non-plastic teethers jogged my memory. About a year or so ago I ran across amber teething necklaces. They are supposed to alleviate teething pain but here is the kicker...your child does NOT chew on them...only wear them around the neck...like a necklace. Amber is a natural substance from trees. It is … [Read more...]

I posted last week about Jenny McCarthy's appearance on Oprah and her new book Louder than Words. If you missed it, Jenny shared how vaccines played a part in her son's autism and how she was determined to help him recover from this condition. This morning I was reminded of this topic again...twice. First, I watched Jenny again on The View. It was another good interview. She talked about vaccines and the possibility of recovery for the autistic yet again. I did find Barbara Walters a bit … [Read more...]
