pvBody Workout Gear

By Tiffany Leave a Comment

After rediscovering fitness and exercise a couple years ago it quickly became apparent why fitness clothing is such a big business. When I joined a gym, and it stuck, I needed to go out and buy some fitness clothing. What I found second hand (my preferred way to shop) was usually not sufficient. The workout clothing was either worn to shreds by someone who actually used it or it was new with tags but in size XXS or XXL. There seemed to be little middle ground. So I had to buy some workout … [Read more...]

What Do Kids Really Learn in Public Schools?

By Tiffany 58 Comments

(My daughter in an Amish schoolhouse) I have written much about homeschooling versus public schooling. I have done both and each has advantages and disadvantages. I pretty much allow my kids to make their own choice as to the type of schooling they prefer and all three are in public schools right now. But for weeks now I have been considering pulling rank and taking my middle child, my daughter, out of school and continuing her education at home. I always thought she would be the best equipped … [Read more...]

You’ve Gone Too Far Treehugger!

By Tiffany 7 Comments

Was this a headline on a blog or news site? Was it a nasty remark thrown at me from by a cashier in reference to my "Plastic Bags Blow" t-shirt? None of the above...it was a playful thing my husband said to me this past weekend. Admittedly my husband is not the greenest man on the planet but he is making great strides in that direction and mostly because he loves me like crazy and he sees that it is important to me. So now he is quick to send me links about sustainable news and events and tell … [Read more...]

You Can Choose Happiness – And You Can Win This T-Shirt…

By Tiffany 48 Comments

Most people have a lot of baggage in their lives....unpleasantness that they carry with them and let cloud the here and now happiness that they could be experiencing. I know this because I have some baggage of my own that is clouding my happiness. As I told a friend recently I have always felt like I have the Midas touch...either that or I have always been super lucky. :) I always got everything I wanted and everything went my way. Until last year that is when I got some news that knocked me on … [Read more...]

Eco Friendly Friday Tip – Eco Apparel

By Tiffany Leave a Comment

I had a blast last weekend! No I did't attend a rave or even catch a cool flick at the theatre. I wore a T-shirt and I caused a stir. :) I decided to wear my new BYOB shirt from Reusablebags.com. BYOB stands for Bring Your Own Bag and this particluar shirt says "Plastic Bags Blow" on the front and then on the back it says says BYOB and explains the concept. All throughout my shopping that day I had people stop and ask about the shirt. Some just stared and I really wanted to exclaim "Hey quit … [Read more...]
