Essential Oils for Hair

By Tiffany 25 Comments

The typical woman does so much to damage her hair these days. Think hair dryers, curling irons, flat irons, and a myriad of products all laced with unsavory chemicals...shampoo, conditioner, mousse, and hairspray. We all want shiny, voluminous hair that makes us look our best right? Well, all of these products we are using are counterproductive to that. We can actually change the way our hair looks, grows, and feels by making a few changes in our hair care routine, changing some of our … [Read more...]

Best Essential Oils for a Foot Massage

By Tiffany 24 Comments

A foot massage has to be one of the most enjoyable and popular massages. It might even be the reason why so many ladies love to have pedicures. Pretty toes are nice but the massage that comes with the pedicure can't be beat! They are simple and easy to perform as well so trading massages with your spouse can be an excellent lazy evening at home idea. It can be reviving and therapeutic! Our feet are super sensitive and super responsive. Many complimentary therapies (think reflexology or … [Read more...]

Savory Pumpkin Soup Recipe

By Tiffany 2 Comments

This just might be my new favorite fall soup. It is scrumptious! Also pretty easy to make, just a bit long on cook time. I love pumpkin and you find great sales on pie pumpkins right about now but I am not big on making tons of sweets and pies. I usually put them in the slow cooker and make my own pumpkin puree for pancakes, smoothies, and souffles. That is about it...until now. You can bet I will be stocking up on pie pumpkins so I can make this soup throughout fall and … [Read more...]

Natural Ways to Relieve a Head Cold

By Tiffany Leave a Comment

When we natural/green mamas get sick and are down for the count it might be tempting to go to the drugstore and grab the nearest over the counter medication for some quick relief. Let's face it, there might not be anyone around to take care us...make us soup and fluff our pillows. Heck, we are lucky if we can take a nap when we have little ones running around. We still have to take care of our families and take care of the home, even while sick. Such is the life of a mom right? Still when we do … [Read more...]

Creamy Mushroom Soup with Rice and Sherry

By Tiffany 3 Comments

This is one of my absolute favorite soups in the world. I first had it served out of a cauldron at a Halloween Craft Fair and was convinced into recreating that heaven in a bowl at home. I came pretty darn close with this recipe. Of course my lovely husband insisted it is perfect as is and my ten year old son that if anyone declares this not to be the best soup they ever had... they are not right in the head. LOL. This soup is vegetarian and it can be made without rice and it tastes just as … [Read more...]
