"Green laundry" does not refer to what happens to your whites when you wash them with colors. Or maybe that is only my laundry. We have three people in the house (including myself) whose fave color is some shade of green or aqua. Drop That Bleach!
No surprise here but bleach is not very good for the environement. Adding chlorine (in conventional bleach) to an organic-rich waste stream (like rinse water) leads to the formation of environmentally hazardous byproducts, such as dioxins. Dioxins are carcinogenic. But if chlorine is bad then how do you get your laundry looking bright and white?
