Reclaimed and Recycled Dog Toys

By Tiffany 2 Comments

We don't have any dogs in our home...yet. We badly want one but we are renters and it's just too much stress to have a pet at this time. To get our fill we have to make regular trips to Nana's house where there are two furbabies available to love on. Every year the #1 Christmas gift priority award is bestowed upon those dogs by my kids. Forget everyone else in the family...as long as those doggies have full stockings we are all good. This means I have to be on the lookout for more planet … [Read more...]

Earth Day Conscious Box

By Tiffany 3 Comments

The oats we can't eat because we are grain free. I can forgive that because they had NutCase Crunch in one of their earlier … [Read more...]

Now is the time that parents run rampant trying to think of things to do as a family while you still have sunshine and an open schedule. There are many great things to do with the kids; they just take consideration, cooperation and planning and all the summer activity thus far might have left you with a little brain fry. One great thing to do with the kids that also involves getting away and into nature... is camping. This can … [Read more...]

Summer Flowers

By Tiffany 6 Comments

Sometimes I forget how much I love to get out and take pictures. This past weekend I was reminded of that love when we went to visit Kingwood Center in Mansfield, Ohio. We missed the spring flowers but the summer flowers were out in abundance. I have already decided that I MUST plant ornamental onions next year... those purple flower balls are just too lovely! What flowers are you seeing in your area? … [Read more...]

Peanut Butter Carob Balls Recipe

By Tiffany 13 Comments

Recently Nicole commented on this post that she wanted me to post the recipe I used for the delicious organic Peanut Butter Carob Balls I described. So here it. I got it from one of my favorite books: The Healthiest Kid in the Neighborhood. Peanut Butter Carob Balls (makes 30 small balls) 1/2 cup carob powder 1/2 cup honey ( I used raw) 1/2 crunchy peanut butter 1/2 cup raw sunflower seeds 1/2 cup sesame seeds 1/2 cup oats 1/2 ground flax seed meal Mix all ingredients … [Read more...]
