By Tiffany 29 Comments

One of the first alternative healing methods that ever interested me was aromatherapy and the use of essential oils and this was years before I would truly identify as "natural" or "green". I just loved the idea that plants had healing powers...that all around us were these tiny little powerhouses that we could harvest and use to heal ourselves. The idea that a person may decide to take a variety of drugs to help with headaches and another may look to flowers and leaves and get better results is … [Read more...]

My kids have already come … [Read more...]

The Healing Powers of Cinnamon

By Tiffany 1 Comment

This time of year many people love to smell cinnamon and eat dishes that use this aromatic spice. We use it to bake apples, apple pies, pumpkin pies, etc. A house that smells of cinnamon makes us feel warm and content. It has a long history of use in baking yummy desserts and it is one of the oldest known spices. It has a long history as an herbal remedy for colds, flu, and digestive issues. Natural Cures Spotlight – Cloves

By Tiffany 4 Comments

This tree is native to Indonesia, and the dried flower buds are what we know as cloves. The oil is extracted from these buds, and also from the stems and … [Read more...]
