Pura Bottles for Adults and Littles Alike

By Tiffany 19 Comments

Reusable bottles are a big factor in our home. My husband and I use ours daily at the gym and as CrossFitters we have pretty high standards. We aren't going to go with single use plastic bottles ever and some of the more flimsy plastic and stainless bottles might be crushed in class. We opt to go with high quality, wide mouth stainless steel bottles. I am not opposed to glass bottles (I have several) just don't want to see them broken in a fitness class. Of late I have been using my hot pink … [Read more...]

Herb Scissors – A Super Helpful Kitchen Gadget

By Tiffany 8 Comments

A few weeks back I finally got a pair of the herb scissors that were calling to me on Amazon. They are only $10 and I use them quite often for cutting herbs quickly and with less chance of hacking my fingers off. Since I cook at home every night, anything that shaves some time off the process while still allowing me to cook good, healthy meals is welcome in my kitchen. I think need to update my Real Foods Kitchen post and add these nifty scissors in fact. They make it easy to cut, chop, or … [Read more...]

30 Day Clean & Green Kitchen Plan

By Tiffany 11 Comments

Cleaning the kitchen is one of those things that I know needs to be broken down into daily tasks but an actual plan of action seems to elude me. I always seem to get the bare minimum done... aka cleaning the counters so I can prepare the day's meals or loading/unloading the dishwasher so we have clean dishes to eat off of. But cleaning the spray off the backsplash and stove, wiping down the walls, or cleaning up stray peas underneath the kitchen table... forget it! This year I totally planned to … [Read more...]

Okabashi Recyclable Shoes and Flip-Flops

By Tiffany 14 Comments

In the past I have been a flip-flop addict of sorts. Years ago it was not uncommon for me to have 10 or more pairs... of JUST flip-flops. In recent years though I curtailed my habit because they are generally so flimsy (lasting only one season) and they are heavy on plastics and foam. They were just a nightmare in the green department. So I tided myself over with sneakers (sniff) that last much longer and eco friendlier shoes when I could swing it. Anyway when an eco conscious shoe company … [Read more...]

EIO Glass Kids Cup Review

By Tiffany 7 Comments

A couple years ago I compiled big lists of BPA free kids cups. Most of us were used to giving our kids plastic sippy cups to avoid spills but when we found that BPA or Bishpenol A had the potential to harm our children we sought better options. Our demand for better products was so loud that MANY companies reformulated their products to offer safer cups and many new companies popped up to fill this need as well. Still for many moms, myself included, there was still something missing. Yes we … [Read more...]
