Natural & DIY Dryer Sheet Alternatives

By Tiffany 5 Comments

Dryer sheets have become one of those mass marketed products that we have become convinced we need. We need them to make our laundry smell fresh or we need them to keep static cling at bay. We need them to make our clothes soft and wrinkle free. Or do we? I used to be a die hard dryer sheet user. I was absolutely convinced once upon a time that any good housekeeper and laundry aficionado MUST use dryer sheets. Then of course I learned the hard truth. Dryer sheets are rather toxic with some … [Read more...]

Perfume for Babies????

By Tiffany 7 Comments

I was completely shocked to read yesterday that a company actually plans to make perfumes for babies. WTH??? Babies already have such a sweet and unique smell. Why on earth would you want to cover up that deliciousness with an artificial scent that comes from a bottle? Why would you want your child to smell like the noxious perfume isle of a department store? Well, I guess this is a case of "to each their own right"? Well, no it shouldn't be in this case because perfumes are notorious for … [Read more...]

Ecocentric Mom Review

By Tiffany 1 Comment

Ecocentric Mom is a monthly product subscription service. I have reviewed a handful of these services on this blog and have always really liked the concept. It makes me feel like I am getting presents when every month something is delivered to my door with surprise goodies. Even though you are paying for it, it is still tons of fun. This particular box is designed to provide you with an array of earth friendly goodies for mom each month. I got a box from Ecocentric Mom to review this … [Read more...]

Conscious Box – Holiday Version

By Tiffany 3 Comments

I started reviewing Conscious Boxes last month and fell in love with them if you recall. Here is a quick view of this jam packed box: Berryplus - Is it strange that the thing that excited me the most when I opened the box was the circular container of laundry soap. I just couldn't get over the cute packaging (contained 2 tubes for 2 loads of laundry) and the wonderful smell! It is 95% berry-based and 100% plant-based. The formula sounds awesome but the little microdoses will mean you have to … [Read more...]

Eco Stars Recycled Crayons

By Tiffany 2 Comments

If given the choice I will usually opt for soy or beeswax crayons. The conventional ones made from petro products are not a favorite. I will usually make an exception for recycled crayon products though because you are buying used instead of new. The fact that Eco Stars are made from recycled materials, along with the fact that my youngest needs to work on his grasping skills according to his therapist at school, made me think this product might be a good fit for us. Theses crayons are melted … [Read more...]
