TGIF – NatureBox, Baby Books, and Fifty Shades

By Tiffany 3 Comments

TGIF! Have a great weekend and Mother's Day all! I am hoping to kickstart my weekend this morning with a viewing of Dark Shadows at the theater and then watching the Central East Regional CrossFit games on ESPN3 since some of the guys/gals from my gym are competing. Go team CFNA! It would be lovely to go in person since they are in Columbus, OH but I think my kids would be bored out of their minds. The rest of the weekend is pretty up in the air. We have been invited to a picnic and there is an … [Read more...]

Minimalist Parenting and the New Baby

By Guest 12 Comments

While attachment parenting is a topic near and dear to me I don't need a refresher on subjects like breastfeeding, babywearing, and co-sleeping so much. Rather I go for books about specific issues nowadays and geared toward older kids. I think I ended up getting it because I really, really like Mayim Bialik. I loved her show Blossom … [Read more...]

Diaper Free Babies or Elimination Communication

By Tiffany 13 Comments

When highlighting the green options for diapering our wee babes one of the front runners... if not the front runner is EC or elimination communication. We live in a society that is obsessed with convenience, which is probably why the idea of Elimination Communication (or EC) has met with such mixed emotions. What Exactly is EC? The term “elimination communication” was coined by Ingrid Bauer after she had traveled throughout both India and Africa where diaperless babies (who did not seem to be … [Read more...]
