Instant Pot Rabbit Soup

By Tiffany 1 Comment

I could sing the praises of pressure cookers all day long. They make it amazingly easy to make a fast meal with a slow cooked taste. The flavors pop, the meat falls off the bone, and you can walk in the house with only 45 minutes to spare and still have an amazing dinner. This soup imitates a classic chicken noodle soup except it uses rabbit. The flavor is very similar but rabbit is one of the healthiest, leanest, and most environmentally friendly meats you can eat. It is a very sustainable … [Read more...]

Are You ‘Greener Than Thou’?

By Tiffany 20 Comments

A new ad video from Clorox Green Works (see it below) sparked some great conversations on Facebook recently. Some green moms are feeling attacked by the video because they feel it makes our concern for environmental issues seem more than a little nutty. Others commented that it simply highlights yet another high standard that moms must live up to or they will be made to feel that they are not good enough. I think all points were valid and there is no denying that the video is a bit condescending … [Read more...]

Weekending – In Photos

By Tiffany 2 Comments

Family, family, family...that is what my weekends have been ALL about of late. Spent some time w/hubby's family in Somerset, Ohio (though not under happy circumstances) and my sister-in-law likes to take pictures too, which means I am actually in one. … [Read more...]

Speech, Vaccines, and Earth Day

By Tiffany 15 Comments

TGIF! Have an awesome weekend everyone! I am writing this in a hurry so I can get out the door and go to the city to look for places to live. We are checking out an apartment complex today...yeah I broke down and decided to go check one out even though I was dead set on a house or townhouse. I have never lived in an apartment before so I am kinda intrigued by them but I know for kids it may be tough...aka no yard. We shall see. My son's speech therapy went MUCH better yesterday. I basically … [Read more...]

Eco Calendars for Kids

By Tiffany Leave a Comment

I came across a great product today aimed at those who want to put the environment and the natural world at the forefront each month. Eco-calendars for the whole family! Though I think kids will really likes these. They are a wonderful addition to schools and for homes as well. The four-panels comprising the calendar, one for each season, present information on seasonally visible stars, the phases of the Moon and tides, the ratios of darkness and light, the seasonal behavior of Earth's … [Read more...]
