The Magnesium Miracle

By Tiffany 27 Comments

I went primal/paleo about 3.5 months ago now. It has been for the most a wonderful and exhilarating ride that has brought so much to my health. I have lost inches off my waistline, I have gained energy, I have started sleeping much better, and I just feel more youthful. And yet, about the same time I went primal I also started experiencing PMS issues, which wasn't such a great side effect. I went from virtually no premenstrual issues to experiencing bloating, water retention, and cramps. This … [Read more...]

Greener Tips for Healthy Skin

By Tiffany 15 Comments

The beauty industry is mammoth in size. They make billions each year selling to women the idea that beauty comes in a bottle. They tell us we need anti-aging miracle creams, moisturizers that will return our skin to the youthful state of our childhood, and numerous products that hide all our imperfections. And yet if they really worked why would women be so desperate to try the newest, greatest product on the market? Most of these products have us chasing after an illusion and worse yet they are … [Read more...]

The Magic of Herbal Remedies

By Tiffany 2 Comments

Many folks are afraid to dig in and try to use natural remedies because they still find it all very mysterious. Using leaves, flowers, roots, or dried herbs to heal what ails them still sounds so much like Hocus Pocus and it scares them a bit. The ingredients sounds so exotic and hard to find and they have no idea what a tincture is so why bother right? It is actually MUCH easier to get started than you think. You don't even have to be very knowledgeable or brave... you just have to start … [Read more...]

The 15 Minute Miracle

By Tiffany 10 Comments

Something miraculous has happened in our home. Every morning I get to wake up to a clean house and the feeling is sooooo nice!! A couple weeks ago I bartered for house cleaning services and my house was whipped into shape. I absolutely LOVE getting up to sparkly floors and NO toys on the floor. Gone were the days of pretending that the kids toys, books, and clothing all over the floor was actually a burglary early warning system. BUT after everything was super clean I started to notice every … [Read more...]

Animal, Vegetable, Miracle

By Tiffany 13 Comments

Hot on the heals of my review of Choosing Simplicity I decided to finally review Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver... a book that has been on my shelf for months. :) The book immediately resonates with me because it starts out in Tucson, Arizona as Kingsolver and her family leave their home of 25 years to live permanently in Virginia on their summer farm. I remember well the postcard perfect saguaro cacti and gorgeous desert sunsets. One person's dream is another person's … [Read more...]
