Wean Green Glass Cubes Baby Food Containers!

By Tiffany 9 Comments

Wahoo! It is so darn easy to be a green parent these days. Seriously ya'll having babies nowadays are really lucky. I missed all the adorable glass baby bottles with silicone sleeves, the BPA free baby gear, and now these glass baby food storage containers from Wean Green. They are stylish, safe, and green. How good will that homemade baby food look in these babies? They come in a four pack and they have plastic locking lids so there is a bit of plastic but it is BPA, PVC, Phthalates, and … [Read more...]

Little Green Star

By Tiffany 10 Comments

One of the few NEW items my daughter will be sporting to school this year is an organic tee from Little Green Star. I made the commitment to buy mostly used and I am sticking to it. I make my final thrift store run next weekend. BUT I have no qualms about spending money on new clothes when they come from ethical companies with green values and Little Green Star is one of those companies IMO. And my daughter has to go to school with some shirts that declare our values right? My daughter loves … [Read more...]

Safer Plastic Bath Toys

By Tiffany 15 Comments

Boon has quickly become one of my favorite companies for kids products. Their BPA free bowls and utensils for kids rock, they have an awesome potty bench that we are using, and the design is modern yet slightly retro. The design mom in me loves them. Oh and they are also sticklers for safe plastics that won't poison our kids. They have just come out with some really cute and safe bath toys that are free of BPA, PVC, and phthalates, as have some other companies. Here are some safer bath toy … [Read more...]

Chemical Burns from Tagless Clothes

By Tiffany 26 Comments

Just when we get think we got rid of all the yucky products and toys in our house that have phthalates and PVC...boom another source is discovered. I was really surprised to read over at Debra Lynn Dadd's message board that many moms are reporting chemical burns from those nifty tagless clothing items. Oy-vay! Tagless clothing for everyone is the latest rage. With so many kids having sensory issues these seem like a lifesaver. Athletes and fitness buffs love them too because they despise … [Read more...]

Non Toxic Shower Curtains and Bath Toys

By Tiffany 6 Comments

Well, this is not big news. PVC is a bad thing to expose our family to. It has, however been getting a lot more bad press lately and rightly so....the CHEJ has a 40 page report about it called Volatile Vinyl. PVC is also referred to often as the poison plastic. One of the products that we are especially being warned about is shower curtains. The report especially lambasted them. Just look at this table I snagged from the report: Shower curtains seem so innocent but they pack a nasty chemical … [Read more...]
