So I am thrilled that the lovely folks at Reusit are offering NatureMoms readers a great discount for two select CamelBak products. They are stainless steel resuable water bottles. One is perfect for all ages and one is designed for kids. They would make a great stocking stuffer/gift for the holidays and the exclusive code CAMELBAK60 will give you an awesome 60% … [Read more...]

Bamboo Water Bottle Review

By Tiffany 3 Comments

I have a small water bottle collection going on at my place. I have my water bottle that I take to the gym and another one for hiking. I have a couple glass water bottles for when I don't have to worry so much about breakage. I have stainless steel water bottles that are perfect for the kids to take to school and now I have a nifty new bamboo water bottle from the Bamboo Bottle Company. I have been using it in a variety of settings for a few weeks now and I like it well enough to give it a … [Read more...]

How to Avoid the Poison in Your Pantry

By Tiffany 16 Comments

Steps You Can Take to Make Eating Canned Food Healthier and Safer... But now I seem to be on a Mexican, South American, and Caribbean cooking kick which uses a lot of beans and I have resorted to … [Read more...]

I get so many questions asking me where to start in regards to going green. So I thought I would start doing a room by room feature with green tips for the whole house...today we begin with bathrooms. Bathrooms can be a very wasteful place...lots of water use, garbage generation, and potentially toxic cleaning. Here are some easy ways to green your bathroom... 1. Stop flushing so much - With each flush we use 3-5 gallons of water. You can reduce those numbers greatly by simply deciding to … [Read more...]

Intak Water Bottle by Thermos

By Tiffany 14 Comments

I have always had a favorite water bottle and his name is Mr. Klean Kanteen. But step aside Klean because you may have been replaced. Okay maybe not replaced, but you will now have to share your coveted position in my cupboard. Make room for the sleek and ingenious Intak by Thermos. I wondered how I would like the Intak but I can now say I am a huge fan and while the Intak is a reusable (green) water bottle it does have a big strike against it...it is plastic. BPA free, safe plastic but … [Read more...]
