It feels wrong to pop open a beer and then end\u00a0up pouring half down the sink.\u00a0Here are ten \u201cgreen\u201d cleaning uses for flat beer. Who knew?!<\/p>\n<p>#1\u00a0 Coffee and tea stain remover.\u00a0 Though you don\u2019t really want your clothes to smell like beer, it is actually a great stain remover.\u00a0 Pour the beer on the stain and let it sit for a minute.\u00a0 Blot the stain and examine.\u00a0 If it\u2019s still lingering, repeat as needed.<\/p>\n<p>#2\u00a0 Polish your jewelry with flat beer.\u00a0 Pour that leftover beer into a small glass bowl and place your gem free jewelry into the bowl.\u00a0 Let sit for a couple of minutes, remove and dry thoroughly.<\/p>\n<p>#3\u00a0 Furniture cleaner.\u00a0 Use your flat beer to clean your wooden tables and other wooden furniture.\u00a0 Place flat beer on a clean, soft clot and apply.\u00a0 Dry with another clean, soft cloth.<\/p>\n<p>#4\u00a0 Clean your garden of slugs and snails.\u00a0 It\u2019s a long-standing gardening practice to use beer to attract snails and slugs to remove them from your garden.\u00a0 Pour beer into a shallow dish and place in your garden overnight.\u00a0 In the morning, you\u2019ll find it full of slugs and snails that have imbibed and drown.\u00a0 Toss and repeat to rid your garden of these destructive pests.<\/p>\n<p>#5\u00a0 Use flat beer to remove stains from carpeting.\u00a0 It\u2019s always good to test this in a low-visibility area for colorfastness, however.\u00a0 If you have a carpet stain, pour a little beer on the stain, wait a few minutes, blot and repeat until stain is gone.\u00a0 This works better on fresh stains rather than stains that have become set in the carpet.
