I LOVE Dr. Seuss….so when I ran across this poem for nursing moms that is written in the style of Dr. Seuss I had to publish it here. I hope all nursing moms can take it to heart and remember that breastfeeding is best for their baby…even if others would make us feel as though we are doing something wrong by doing it in public. It is a “natural” thing.<\/p>\n
Dr. Seuss for Nursing Moms<\/p>\n
Would you nurse her in the park?
\nWould you nurse him in the dark?
\nWould you nurse him with a Boppy?
\nAnd when your boobs are feeling floppy?<\/p>\n
I would nurse him in the park,
\nI would nurse her in the dark.
\nI’d nurse with or without a Boppy.
\nFloppy boobs will never stop me.<\/p>\n
Can you nurse with your seat belt on?
\nCan you nurse from dusk till dawn?
\nThough she may pinch me, bite me, pull,
\nI will nurse her `till she’s full!<\/p>\n
Can you nurse and make some soup?
\nCan you nurse and feed the group?
\nIt makes her healthy strong and smart,
\nMommy’s milk is the best start!<\/p>\n
Would you nurse him at the game?

\nIn front of those who dare complain?

As for those who protest lactation,
\nI have the perfect explanation.
\nMommy’s milk is tailor made

Some may scoff and some may wriggle,
\nAvert their eyes or even giggle.
\nTo those who can be cruel and rude,
\nRemind them breast’s the perfect food!<\/p>\n
I would never scoff or giggle,
\nRoll my eyes or even wiggle!
\nI would not be so crass or crude,
\nI KNOW that this milk’s the perfect food!<\/p>\n
We make the amount we need
\nThe perfect temp for every feed.
\nThere’s no compare to milk from breast-

Those sweet nursing smiles are oh so sweet,
\nMommy’s milk is such a treat.
\nHuman milk just can’t be beat.<\/p>\n
I will nurse, in any case,
