Enviro-Log Firelogs

I use a wood burning stove in the wintertime and I am REALLY bad about getting and keeping a good fire going. So, I will often resort to using a fire log to help me out and I have found one that I especially like. This product gets an A+ from me.

Enviro-Log Firelogs are distinctive for their wide variety of applications and performance features. Because they are made from food-grade waxed old corrugated containers (WOCC), they can be used for cooking, as well as for heating and recreational purposes. They are compatible with all wood-burning appliances and can be used to enhance a wood-burning fire. They generate more energy per pound than wood or other firelog brands according to the company.

Enviro-Log Firelogs are easier to light, burn hotter with larger, smokeless flames, and do not melt, drip, or spark because there is no added petroleum-based binder. They can be stacked and stored outdoors similar to wood and are more weather-resistant than other firelog brands.

I also find them to be VERY reasonable in price!

To say the very least, Enviro-logs suck! I’m all about being environmentally friendly, but after it took us 30 minutes to get the stupid thing lit (we followed the direction exactly), I was ready to throw the rest of the box away. So the following night we tried again. Same results. Not only did just the wrapper catch on fire, I got more heat from the bic lighter I used to light it with. Within one hour, about all it was doing was smoking up the fireplace. We ended up poking it apart and then it burned a little. Don’t waste your money if you want a decent fire and a little heat to snuggle by.

We have been using the logs for about a week now and we love them. Fast lighting and burn hot.

Very difficult to light even following the instructions. On top of that, they produce a *LOT* of ash per log. Java Logs are much better

I tried these also and just burning one will give me as much flame as a candle. I wasn’t totally impressed with these but since I got a case i’m stuck with 5 more of them. next time i’m just going to fire up two at a time and hopefully it will get somewhere even close like a duraflame log hopefully!
