In the midst of loading a Uhaul truck to move 65 miles south of our current home, my daughter had a birthday party to attend. She insisted that she had to wear her favorite party dress and I must say she looked smashing. She is a living doll.
She is so smart and contemplative. Here she looks like she is listening to the trees and receiving the knowledge of the ancients. Always listening, always learning.
But unlike her introverted mother she is adores being the Belle of the ball. She has a flair for the dramatic and constantly has the rest of us watching to see what she will do next.
After the party she look very different of course. Her party dress was ripped and she was hopped up on candy. Must have been one FUN party! Oh the life of a five year old… can it be any sweeter?
I asked her if I needed to sew her dress for another birthday party she will attend next weekend. She rolled her eyes and told me she can’t wear the same dress… everyone has already seen it!
That is too cute! Better watch out in high school because she’s sure to be miss popular and have a very busy social life!
She’s so cute! And my DD is also extremely outgoing and extroverted, something she does not get from me (wellm I can be somewhat outgoing, but I’m definitely an introvert).
I love that wish. Sometimes, I miss not having a girl…being a super girly girl mommy it would have been fun to play dress up. But I’m sure I can still do capes, hats, dragon wings with Bishep once he’s old enough.
Although, somehow it’s just not quite the same.
What a beautiful little girl you have! She really is a doll. How funny about why she doesn’t want to wear the dress to the next party.
