I LOVE this song by Mindy Gledhill called Hourglass. I listen to it when I have had a rough parenting day and I need to remember to be present, in the moment, and joyful with my kids. It is so beautiful…
You and I could hitch a ride and fly away to Neverland, give our best to Peter Pan.
Beautiful song! Thanks so much for sharing! I was thinking about this same thing this morning- living in the moment, and focusing on the here and now. Thanks again!
Thanks! I really need to hear that today. I’ve had a difficult several weeks of parenting as my daughter is on the cusp of 2.
And, be the way, I found your blog not too long ago have have appreciated checking in with it every few days!
Awesome! My daughter got so excited when they said Peter Pan. Thanks for sharing your find.
Thanks for sharing, hit the spot for me today.
Wow; thank you for sharing! If a song can take your breath away, then this is the one that does.
As parents, we often get caught up in the parenting and just sort of exist in “survival mode” – the responsibilities, the discipline, the teaching, the cleaning up, the interventions between them, the negotiations, the assistance, the nurturing. My husband and I so often forget to simply snuggle, adore and appreciate our children as the precious gifts from God that they are!
Without a doubt, these are the most beautiful lyrics I’ve ever heard to remind me to savor the moment with my children… the sands of the hourglass slip away so quickly…. :-)
Beautiful…don’t we all need that reminder at times. Thank you!
So pretty!! Rough day today I wish I could be in the moment with my kids. I think I need to learn how to do that. My kids would probably appreciate it. Really love the song!!
