DIY Foot Powder for Stinky Feet

By Tiffany Leave a Comment

DIY Foot PowderAnyone with kids knows the all too common problem of stinky feet, especially boy moms or moms with kids who have sensory issues and cannot stand the feel of socks. They come home from school or sports practice and about knock you out without the smell. Or maybe you have this problem with a pair of well loved shoes of your own. Sometimes it seems that once they take a turn towards the smelly you cannot wash them enough to make it go away permanently.

This quickie DIY foot powder absorbs moisture and funky odors. Some of the ingredients are antiseptic and antifungal so it will fight the bacteria associated with stinky feet and fight fungus and fungal infections, like athlete’s foot.

DIY Foot Powder Recipe

1/2 cup white clay
1/2 cup arrowroot powder
1-2 tbsp powdered ginger
20 drops tea tree oil

You can even wash the offensive shoes with baking soda and tea tree oil too, for extra protection. Start using this powder regularly, wash your shoes a couple of times, and odors will be a thing of the past. Hope this helps!
