WildCraft Board Game – 50% Off

By Tiffany 6 Comments

I feel it is imperative for me to share every sale or product that comes our way from the company Learning Herbs. Last month or so it was their new book series for kids called Herb Fairies but the gem I have been going on about for years now is called WildCraft. I have long been a fan of this herbal learning board game (read a full review here). We have two of them actually, one for our home and one for grandma's house. I am thoroughly convinced this is the coolest game ever… no seriously… … [Read more...]

Herb Fairies – Herbal Learning Adventure for Kids

By Tiffany 3 Comments

It takes an educational topic (in this case medicinal herbs) and puts into a format that kids will not only enjoy, but adore...a board game. They have fun and play a great game while they learn about a very important subject that seems to be generally ignored nowadays. I think it is incredibly valuable to teach our children that plants can help us … [Read more...]

Haba Board Games

Monopoly and Battleship are okay I guess but my two smallest kiddos like to play something unique and usually something that involves animals. I like games that involve strategy and aren't too commercial in nature. Both of these games were a perfect fit for us. The first we played was Tier auf Tier. … [Read more...]

Mother’s Day Gifts for Green Moms

By Tiffany 8 Comments

Knowing what to get a green mom for Mother's Day can be a tough call. In general most green moms believe in reduce, reduce, reduce, reuse whenever we can, and then when we HAVE to... recycle. The commercialization of Mother's Day often means we get gift and get "crap we don't need". But if you take into consideration what a mom values, what a green mom values, and what type of gifts we would actually use... then you can come up with a few sure fire ideas. 1. Gift the Gift of Time - No fancy … [Read more...]

Pools, rBGH, and Pretend Pastry

TGIF! Have an awesome weekend everyone! I have had an eventful week here. It was my birthday and my 10 year wedding anniversary was yesterday. My oldest son's 8th birthday is in 11 days so I have been busy prepping for that. We are going to Pittsburgh to celebrate. That's a mom's life I tell ya...no big to-do over MY birthday or our wedding anniversary but the kids always have the best birthdays. ;) Hubby and I got his homeschool area all set up last night with a brand new HP computer and … [Read more...]
