Give A Cluck – Choose Cage Free Eggs

By Tiffany 1 Comment

In my mind there is nothing like farm fresh eggs from chickens who are pastured and allowed to roam and eat grass and bugs. They have deep orange colored yolks and they are out of this world tasty. Once you try them you won't ever want to buy conventional store bought eggs again. Living in Ohio I am rather lucky that I have dozens and dozens of options for farm fresh pasture eggs all year long. They might cost anywhere from $5.00 to $8.00 a dozen but I happily pay that. They are just THAT good … [Read more...]

Reclaimed and Recycled Dog Toys

By Tiffany 2 Comments

We don't have any dogs in our home...yet. We badly want one but we are renters and it's just too much stress to have a pet at this time. To get our fill we have to make regular trips to Nana's house where there are two furbabies available to love on. Every year the #1 Christmas gift priority award is bestowed upon those dogs by my kids. Forget everyone else in the family...as long as those doggies have full stockings we are all good. This means I have to be on the lookout for more planet … [Read more...]

The LunchBots Trio

By Tiffany 5 Comments

I have been a LunchBots fan for quite awhile. I have the LunchBots Duo and have used it for years now. I use it to store kiddie snacks on the road, I use it for school lunches, and I use it for my own snacks and lunch on occasion. It was this particular lunchbox that I took with me to a seminar I attended recently in fact. So color me overjoyed to try one of their new lunchboxes. I have eyed the Trio and the Quad with much desire. The folks at LunchBots kindly sent me the Trio and I have used … [Read more...]

Wooden Bowls and Utensils for Kids

By Tiffany 20 Comments

Last year parents everywhere became concerned about BPA in their kid's feeding gear... bowls, cups, plates, spoons. Parents are still concerned about it. My posts with compilations of BPA free cups and BPA free plates, bowls, and utensils are still get huge amounts of daily traffic. One option that was slow to catch on back then was that of wooden feeding items. Why is a mystery to me because even if it is BPA free plastic... this feeding set: ... is UGLY. This would be an eyesore at my table … [Read more...]

Natural Toothpaste for Children

By Tiffany 2 Comments

There are lots of reasons why you might want to ditch the Crest or those sugary, children's toothpastes that you find at the grocery store and go with a more natural option. For me this is clear whenever I see my three year old daughter brushing her teeth for the...oh I don't know...eleventh or twelve time in a day. :) Luckily, there are some great options out there in the natural toothpaste department. The options are not as great though for children's toothpastes (aka toothpastes they will … [Read more...]
