Getting organized is good for your health. I know my mental attitude and outlook improves a hundred fold when my house is clean and orderly. When it is chaos, my life seems to mirror that. I am grumpy, unmotivated, less likely to be patient with my kids, and less likely to make good decisions. Who wants to cook that healthy slow food when the kitchen is a wreck and the pantry is so stuffed I cannot find the things I need? Ordering takeout starts to sounds a little too good. Well, I am finding another wonderful use for them that makes them a bit superior to our other lunch bags/boxes... we can use them for food storage when not in use. The medium size Bazura has become my … [Read more...]
30 Day Clean & Green Kitchen Plan
Cleaning the kitchen is one of those things that I know needs to be broken down into daily tasks but an actual plan of action seems to elude me. I always seem to get the bare minimum done... aka cleaning the counters so I can prepare the day's meals or loading/unloading the dishwasher so we have clean dishes to eat off of. But cleaning the spray off the backsplash and stove, wiping down the walls, or cleaning up stray peas underneath the kitchen table... forget it! This year I totally planned to … [Read more...]
