SodaStream Super Bowl Commercial Rejected

By Tiffany 7 Comments

I admit to you that I did not watch the Super Bowl. It did not play anywhere in my home and we attended no parties. My husband and I could give two licks about football so why bother? I guess this also means I missed out on all the wonderfully entertaining commercials but I will survive I think. Because I didn't watch I don't care to get irate about the inappropriate content of the commercials. I have two eyes that are capable of looking away when I see stuff I don't like anyway. I see no … [Read more...]

Pura Bottles for Adults and Littles Alike

By Tiffany 19 Comments

Reusable bottles are a big factor in our home. My husband and I use ours daily at the gym and as CrossFitters we have pretty high standards. We aren't going to go with single use plastic bottles ever and some of the more flimsy plastic and stainless bottles might be crushed in class. We opt to go with high quality, wide mouth stainless steel bottles. I am not opposed to glass bottles (I have several) just don't want to see them broken in a fitness class. Of late I have been using my hot pink … [Read more...]

Ways to Reuse Vitamin Bottles and Supplement Jars

By Tiffany 10 Comments

I am very much in favor of supplementation. This is because I belive that our food system is so broken and our soil conditions are so lacking that food cannot provide us with all the nutrients, vitamins, and minerals we need for health. To close the gap I take various supplements such as fish oils, magnesium, Vitamin D3, and Milk Thistle. I have some on hand that I am trying out and some that I only need occasionally, like Echinacea. This leaves me with a bit of waste problem. I have many brown … [Read more...]

AlkaMate for Alkalized Water Daily

By Tiffany 7 Comments

Quite some time ago I got in the habit of drinking alkalized water as much as I possibly could. I was first introduced to the concept somewhere along my journey with cancer. Even mainstream doctors these days are acknowledging that cancer thrives in an acidic body and acid does a number on our cells in general. How can we expect our our body to remain healthy when we give our cells (the building blocks) an acid bath with acidic foods and water? You can't... hence the reason behind eating lots of … [Read more...]

Greener Laundry Products

By Tiffany 10 Comments

The above picture shows some of the greener laundry products I have been testing lately. Laundry is one of those chores I absolutely despise. I wish green gadgets could change that but they don't. The only thing they do is make the process a little more planet friendly and that at times seems like a stretch in my opinion. Most "green" laundry detergents come in plastic bottles and that isn't so green at all. Soap nuts have to travel from around the world and they don't last long. Lots of laundry … [Read more...]
