Zulily Deals! Costco, Safe Nail Polish, and Homeschool Supplies

By Tiffany Leave a Comment

There are some great deals on Zulily today. Enjoy! A new Costco membership OR renewal plus some freebies is only $55.00. I am all over this one personally. I have been going with a friend and using her membership for the past couple years but this has increasingly become a hassle and we would like one of our own. We like to buy bulk coconut water, coffee, and rechargeable batteries there mostly but they also have lots of organic offerings. Laptop Lunchboxes - One of our all time favorite … [Read more...]

Getting Organized with Me in a Tree

By Tiffany 2 Comments

I was so encouraged by my progress on my New Year's goals for the month of January. It was an awesome start to the year. Then along came February and I was bombarded by one stressful situation after another. Much of it was stuff I could not control and feeling helpless is no fun at all. Some of it though was just reaping the consequences of being so disorganized. They say that once it rains, it pours and that is the way February went. It's all about the Law of Attraction. Once the bad stuff … [Read more...]

This week is dedicated to turning off various forms of media and turning on real life activities. Every year this event rolls around and many families either turn off their electronics for the week or they reduce the time spent pursuing those activities. We generally do the latter because we don't actually spend that much time watching TV...though computers are a different story. At an … [Read more...]

In the Know With Abe’s Market

By Tiffany Leave a Comment

I discovered Abe's Market sometime last year when I came across a cardboard dollhouse with furniture that I knew my 7 year old daughter would just love. It ended up being a birthday present and my daughter still plays with it quite often. Even though it is made of cardboard it is still going strong. This store is part Etsy and part Whole Foods with a mix of posh and sustainable toys as well as some handcrafted stuff. But they also have a little Amazon, Groupon and Home Shopping Network thrown … [Read more...]

Bringing Food Preservation Back To Our Kitchens

By Tiffany 12 Comments

Canning and preserving food is no longer the necessity that it used to be before the age of grocery stores and pre-packaged convenience foods. In fact, there are plenty of people who look down on the art of canning and preserving as being unnecessary, time consuming and pointless. However, for those families who understand the cost and health benefits of preparing your own foods; learning to can and preserve can go a long ways towards cutting costs and keeping your family eating healthy, even … [Read more...]
