By Tiffany Leave a Comment

I just spent the past weekend decluttering and donating stuff to Goodwill. I have been collecting stuff from around the house to sell on Craigslist or take to consignment shops but they sat around for about a month so that was my clue to just donate them and be done with it. What a relief! Now I can get down to the nitty gritty and … [Read more...]

This is especially true of homeschooling as we take full responsibility for our child’s education. Here is a checklist of activities to help you enter the new school year more prepared than ever. • Read curriculum reviews at: homeschoolreviews.com, … [Read more...]

Great Gardens Take Root in Winter

By Tiffany 5 Comments

I am in one of those areas that got lots of snow this past week. We have 1-2 feet in our front yard and rather than being depressed about it... I am loving it. Winter in general this year has been very easy on me. I just stay home and relax. As I look at the calender I am a-okay with a many more weeks of cold even though Spring is my favorite season. Why? Because winter is for dreaming and planning. All good gardens and beautiful yards begin in the winter time... with seeds that begin sprouting … [Read more...]

Non Plastic Storage Container Solutions

By Tiffany 11 Comments

When I was doing some deep cleaning in my kids bedrooms last week I decided to research some non plastic options for storage containers. We have several of the plastic ones already and certainly don't want to add to that number by buying more. So I decided to see what was out there that was non-plastic. Since I was looking for my kids rooms obviously some of these will be kinda kiddie looking. I ended up purging so much stuff that I didn't need to buy containers... I settled for thrift store … [Read more...]

TV Dinner Style Minus the Plastic

By Tiffany 18 Comments

A reader recently emailed me and asked if I knew where she could find glass plates that were sectioned or divided kind of like a bento or a tv dinner tray. She was having trouble finding anything like that and when she did they were no longer in stock. Well, that email sent me on a hunt to track down an option for this mom and along the way I fell in love with this concept. As you most likely know I love bentos so it is not a stretch to see why I would also love idea of a tray or plate with … [Read more...]
