iCycleBeads for Planning or Preventing Pregnancy

By Tiffany 11 Comments

I have been a fan of Cyclebeads for many years. I practiced Natural Family Planning or NFP up until we opted for sterilization a couple years ago. I decided early on that I would never, ever use a product that introduced hormones into my body and NFP was the safest and greenest way to go. Cyclebeads provides a very clever way to track your periods and determine if pregnancy is likely or not. I just used a handy dandy calender but I would have been all over the latest product from this great … [Read more...]

The fact that this particular woman looked like a Manhattan socialite, and indeed she once was, also piqued my curiosity. But I think my motive was mostly to try and come to grips with my own fear and hatred of hunting. I resumed eating meat again late last year … [Read more...]

Farming Game for Kids

By Tiffany 4 Comments

We recently added another board game to our collection. We LOVE games and mom especially loves games that have some earth friendly message or that encourage a curiosity in nature. A few weeks back I won a $50 gift certificate to a homeschool store, I used part of it to buy The Farm Game for Kids. I have to say that this is one enjoyable and educational game. The game has three levels of play so it is almost like having three different games in one. The first level is for kids starting at age … [Read more...]

The Chico Bag

By Tiffany 3 Comments

Great product alert!! I am behind the times on this one I think but now it is my turn to sing the praises of the Chico Bag. I do use reusable bags when I go shopping. Heck, I don't want to be one of those average Americans that uses 700 plastic bags a year. In fact I am something of a freakish curiosity here in my small town thanks to that green living habit but I have always used canvas totes bags. Some I ordered wholesale but mostly I used various bags I have collected over the years. This … [Read more...]
