Tampon vs Mooncup Video

By Tiffany 1 Comment

I saw this video on Facebook a few weeks back and forgot to post it. I absolutely adore it! I wish something like this would air prime time in the US and make menstrual cups seem more normal and also clue many their into their existence in the first place. Enjoy! Non Toxic Nail Polish for Halloween

By Tiffany 1 Comment

Came across this awesome nail polish set today and had to share. Nail polish is IMO one of the nastiest products you can buy but several companies are now marketing non toxic nail polish and this is good news for moms of little girls who love to wear nail polish. This particular nail polish is made by one of those companies (Keeki Pure and Simple) and I LOVE that they have bundled Halloween sets, the Franken-Keeki Gift Pack. I want one for myself! The green is awesome although they call it Sour … [Read more...]

Raising Minimalist Children in a Society of Excess

You kind of have to when you move into a smaller place. It was a wonderful experience and has helped us see more clearly what kind of life we want to shape. We … [Read more...]

Natural Bathwater Colors

By Tiffany 7 Comments

One of the first products to get the boot from our home when I started this journey to a more natural, green life was the little tub of Crayola bathwater colors. We were very loyal customers and my two oldest LOVED to tint their bath water all sorts of groovy colors. But my son was already showing that he reacted to artificial dyes in food and since our skin is our biggest organ it no longer made sense to have him bathe in artificial dyes anymore. If you look at these tubs you have a not-so … [Read more...]

Greener Cleaners Roundup

By Tiffany 10 Comments

One of the first steps in moving towards any greener, more sustainable lifestyle has to be the step where you ditch chemical cleaners and start using cleaner, greener options. It is my number #1 recommended step in fact because everyone has to clean house and by using green cleaners we make our homes and our planet safer. Its not always an easy switch though. We may get used to using harsh cleaners like Clorox or Windex and using something more mild like baking soda and vinegar seems like more … [Read more...]
