8 Ways To Cut Down on Food Waste

By Tiffany 10 Comments

The average US household wastes a lot of food. I know I have definitely been guilty of this myself in the past. If we have to clean out our fridge once a month and throw half the contents away spoiled, unused, and moldy then we are wasting food and wasting money. How much of our monthly food bill is actually tossed in the garbage? $20? $30? This has an impact on your finances and it impacts the planet because we use more than we need. So how do we nip this problem in the bud? Here are 8 ways … [Read more...]

Eco Eggs – Natural Easter Egg Coloring Kit

By Tiffany 6 Comments

This year I had it in my mind that I was going to try and dye Easter eggs using our GLOB natural botanical paints. Only problem was I could not find them in all the stuff I have not yet unpacked in our move. So when I came across the Eco-Eggs Easter Egg Coloring Kit, I opted to just use that. The dyes are made using natural plant, fruit, and vegetable extracts. It includes three natural dyes (orange, blue and purple), a color chart for creating 6 colors, and instructions for coloring eggs. It … [Read more...]

Coconut Milk Yogurt and Coconut Water Kefir

By Tiffany 17 Comments

This week I decided to try my hand making coconut yogurt AND coconut water kefir with young coconuts. This yogurt is a raw food dish and it is nice for an occasional treat. I started by cracking three of them open. Actually my husband did that part. He drained the coconut water as he opened them and reserved it in a bowl. … [Read more...]

Raw Vegan Chocolate Brownies

By Tiffany 18 Comments

Raw Vegan Chocolate Brownie Balls - Sinfully Delicious! Mmmmmm. Yes they are THAT good. I can't help but make little moaning sounds when eating them...you know what they say about chocolate right? Hubby thinks I have lost my mind a little. He loves them too though and says they taste like the truffles his mom used to make. I never understood the mainstream obsession with chocolate until yesterday when I made these. The recipe is my own invention that has definitely earned a position in my Raw … [Read more...]
