If you have ever embraced a plant based or raw foods diet then you have likely heard of Brendan Brazier. He is an Ironman Triathlete who also happens to be vegan. I have read about him in various raw foods books since he is quite the fan of raw foods but mostly I knew of him from his product Vega, which I have used in smoothies. Even if you are not raw it is beneficial IMO to look to raw supplement powders because they always tend to be made from whole, organic, healthy foods that are as close … [Read more...]
Planning Nature Day Trips With Your Family
A grand summer vacation or spring break may not be in the cards for every family. As I picked it up I was hesitant because I don't like books with Dr. Phil-esque advice about finding their currency and punishing your kids until they shape up. But I read through the first chapter, aptly named The Waffle Episode. I knew I would take the book home after … [Read more...]
LeapFrog Tag Giveaway
Remember my Leaprog Tag review from awhile back? Well, we my daughter is still using her Tag frequently...as in once a week or more. In the evenings she often likes to wind down by listening to Fancy Nancy or Olivia books. I am still convinced that it is a great way to keep a child occupied in an educational way while you run errands, travel, or sit in the DMV waiting for your number to be called. March is National Reading Month and to celebrate LeapFrog has started a campaign to get parents … [Read more...]
