Global warming and the worldwide results of carbon pollution are like the national debt. It’s an overwhelming problem that lots of people would love to fix, but since most of us don’t know anything we can do it seems incurable. While no one individually feels like they can make a difference, all of us will start experiencing the negative difference it increasingly has on our lives. Carbon pollution won’t stop, or even decrease, unless each of us individually learns how to reduce our carbon … [Read more...]
You’ve Gone Too Far Treehugger!
Was this a headline on a blog or news site? Was it a nasty remark thrown at me from by a cashier in reference to my "Plastic Bags Blow" t-shirt? None of the above...it was a playful thing my husband said to me this past weekend. Admittedly my husband is not the greenest man on the planet but he is making great strides in that direction and mostly because he loves me like crazy and he sees that it is important to me. So now he is quick to send me links about sustainable news and events and tell … [Read more...]
Eco Friendly Friday Tip – Eco Apparel
I had a blast last weekend! No I did't attend a rave or even catch a cool flick at the theatre. I wore a T-shirt and I caused a stir. :) I decided to wear my new BYOB shirt from Reusablebags.com. The Chico Bag
Great product alert!! I am behind the times on this one I think but now it is my turn to sing the praises of the Chico Bag. I do use reusable bags when I go shopping. Heck, I don't want to be one of those average Americans that uses 700 plastic bags a year. In fact I am something of a freakish curiosity here in my small town thanks to that green living habit but I have always used canvas totes bags. Some I ordered wholesale but mostly I used various bags I have collected over the years. This … [Read more...]
